Micromelodomonodrama (2020)solo soprano Premiere performance This piece was written for and inspired by the mighty soprano Stephanie Lamprea, whose recorded performances of “tiny works” during the stay-at-home period of the COVID-19 crisis are a testament to the perseverance of the creative spirit and the generosity of the new music community. Farcically hyperdramatic, the music is set to an original nonsense poem written in barely passable and half-remembered Italian.
